Our Operations – MKG
Molecular Diagnostics and Clinical Genetics (MKG) is an expansive and highly specialized operation at Rudbeck Laboratory. We are accredited according to ISO 15189:2022 and conduct diagnostics of both congenital and acquired genetic abnormalities and offer genetic counseling.
At MKG, you will work in an accredited environment where laboratory analyses have direct significance for the patient's diagnosis and ongoing care. About 120 employees work here in a dynamic environment focused on quality, development, and collaboration. You will become part of a competent team with experienced colleagues and work with advanced molecular biological methods in close collaboration with clinical geneticists and physicians.

The Molecular Pathology and Genetics Unit
We are now looking for a licensed biomedical analyst or equivalent competence in laboratory science for the Molecular Pathology and Genetics unit at MKG. The position is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of extension. The unit consists of about 25 employees and works with analyses of patient and research samples using advanced molecular biological methods, such as sequencing (NGS), ddPCR, and prenatal diagnostics.
As a biomedical analyst with us, you will participate in the daily laboratory work and also be responsible for maintaining and further developing our quality system. The work is carried out in close collaboration with clinical geneticists, physicians, and other professional categories.
Qualifications and Personal Characteristics
We are looking for someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst or has equivalent competence in laboratory science. To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:
Formal Requirements
- Licensure as a biomedical analyst or equivalent competence
- Experience in laboratory work
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
- Very good computer skills
Meritorious
- Experience working in an accredited environment
- Interest in laboratory instruments and technical equipment
- Experience with sequencing methods
Personal Characteristics
- Detail-oriented and quality-conscious
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and handle a high level of adaptability
- Flexible, responsive, and collaborative
- Good ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks.
